First things first, thank you all for all your support since the inception of this band. We hope that you will continue to support us as we delve into a new year as well as a new mindset.
We performed at the Civic Auditorium in Hanford last Saturday and we couldn't have hoped for a better way to start 2012. A big thanks to Justin Wiley for putting on the show and all the bands who played with us, it was a great show.
At this point in time, we are reassessing our current position and establishing a plan for this new year, plotting a course towards our idea of success. We hope that you will be in attendance at one of our upcoming shows, we would love nothing more than to see you in the pit, or singing along, or both.
In addition, those of you who were able to catch our set in Hanford were the first audience to hear our entirely new set. Hopefully the music spoke to you as much as it speaks to us. We've put a lot of time into our new songs and we feel that they are the best pieces that we've ever written, and the maturation of our group since the Oceans EP era is quite apparent.
So, once again, thank you to everyone who has been with us since day one and to those of you who have hopped on the lunar lander on any of the days following day one, as well. Fortunate is not an adequate adjective to describe our band because of your support. A year can not be owned in a literal sense, so we can not say that it's our year. However, we will say this: "2012 is not the year of The Day I Ate The Moon. 2012 is just another year in which The Day I Ate The Moon will be doing great things."
That is all.
