The Day I Ate The Moon: The Day I Ate The Moon is a 4 piece high-energy post-hardcore band from Visalia, California, that fuses melodic choruses consisting of intricately written vocals, touching on the subjects of life, love, and hope, and heavy, off-the-wall movements utilizing powerful and untamed passion to convey the darker elements of aforementioned subjects. They are a band that is constantly striving to offer a fresh take on heavy music, pushing themselves creatively to write material that is not only original, but catchy and uplifting. Since early 2010, they have won all four Battle of the Bands competitions that they have entered, showing maturity and skill early on in the game. Playing shows at every opportunity all over the central valley, they are a band that is dedicated, hard-working, and dead-set on achieving their goals. They released their debut EP "Oceans" on March 5th, 2011 after spending the winter at Scenix Science Studios and are currently writing a full length with a release date set for early 2012.
